We’re looking for permanent and casual writers to join our team in 2019.
Looking to go beyond the politics? The Mandarin is growing and we’re seeking a talented and energetic journalist to join our editorial team.
The Mandarin is Australia’s premier publication for public sector leaders and executives and the many stakeholders and suppliers interested in their work. By providing a thoughtful and respectful venue for the discussion of policy, programs and public projects, The Mandarin enables department and agency heads and their executives to share current issues and challenges facing public administrators in a complex, demanding and rapidly changing world.
The Mandarin is also an invaluable resource for business, community groups and public policy professionals wanting to better understand and collaborate in the development of policy, programs and regulation.
Reporting to the editor, we’re looking for a journalist, possibly junior or up to mid-career, to produce compelling stories, interviews and ‘deep dives’ into the issues, trends and changes that are most significant to senior members of the public sector.
We’re looking for someone who has an interest in public policy and an appetite for understanding the levers and machines operating at the heart of Australian government. From covering the latest developments for the sector, to uncovering innovative practices and advice, and conducting interviews with influential leaders, this person will make it their mission to communicate with and report on Australia’s public sector.
