The Department of Health and Geoscience Australia are among the winners of this years’ Australian Government Digital Awards.
The Digital Transformation Agency announced the recipients during a ceremony at the National Convention Centre in Canberra on Thursday. Health took home the prize in the product or service category for its website which helps Australians make informed choices about their aged care, while Geoscience Australia’s Digital Earth Australia hybrid cloud platform was recognised in the platform category.
ACT Health’s Sandra Cook was also named the 2019 Digital Champion. As the Acting Chief Information Officer and Director of Future Capability and Governance Digital Solutions Division, Cook is in charge of the directorate’s Digital Health Strategy.
The awards acknowledged excellence in government digital products, services, partnerships and individuals. The ceremony followed the DTA’s inaugural Digital Summit, where digital leaders and practitioners connected to share digital transformation stories and best practice case studies from government.
