The Department of Communications is hosting the Estonian government’s CIO, Taavi Kotka, for a conversation about taking his relatively small European nation on the path of e-government and digitising public services.

Regarded as Europe’s top CIO, Taavi is responsible for Estonia’s latest efforts rolling out e-residencies and digital embassies. Estonia’s ambitious e-residency program extends far beyond its geographic reach. It offers a transnational digital identity to anyone in the world, regardless of their location, and provides secure and convenient digital services that facilitate credibility and trust online.

Join us for the webstream of Taavi’s presentation: ‘A Vision for Government in the Digital Era’ – covering the services provided by an advanced digital government and how it works with the start-up and provider community to drive innovation and new services.

Speaker: Taavi Kotka, Chief Information Officer, Estonian Government

Date: Thursday, September 24, 2015

Time: 10.00–11.00 am (AEST)
