The Mandarin is growing fast, and we’re looking for great talent to help us. We now have over 120,000 visits a month and as a brand The Mandarin is widely recognised as the venue for intelligent and considered engagement about the public sector.

We have big plans to keep growing The Mandarin and build our relevance across the Australian and New Zealand public sectors. We need smart people with fresh ideas, ambition and a desire to be part of the great team that is creating Australasia’s essential public sector venue.

We work entirely digitally and proudly have people working flexibly on projects around the country, as contractors or ongoing roles. We value the wisdom of experience, as much as the energy and innovation of youth. Our only prerequisite is a strong commitment to making the public sector better.

We’re looking for people with these kinds of skills and background:

– Public sector specialists who understand the challenges and opportunities for governments and can work with our team to develop great content and engagement programs for our readers and partners. Ideally combining good policy analysis and communication skills, solid relationships and a strong eye for the needs of government as it transforms into the modern era.

– Journalists and communicators who understand how the public sector works: ideally combining experience in media, communications and government, in editorial and commercial content roles, including portfolio and other government sector specialists.

Business developers, marketing, government relations and events practitioners who know the DNA of the public sector: as The Mandarin grows, we need business analysts and product developers, marketing, events, PR, government relations and advertising practitioners who have instinctive public sector knowledge and want to help build businesses, working on staff or as consultants or contractors.

Entrepreneurial types who want to be part of the growth of The Mandarin: from entry-level to experienced business innovators, we’re hungry to find people who want to help us grow through creative commercial innovation.
