The Position

The Director – People and Culture is an integral part of DTF’s Corporate Delivery Services Group, which encompasses planning and reporting, audit and risk, freedom of information, integrity, accommodation, Cabinet and Parliamentary services, people and culture, information and communications technology.

The Director – People and Culture will develop strategic initiatives to build organisational capability to deliver on DTF’s Corporate Plan 2019-2023, with a focus on leading edge workforce planning, succession and talent management, leadership development, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion. Outcomes will be achieved by proactively building capability in P&C team members and becoming a trusted advisor to the Senior Executive. The role also contributes to whole-of-Victorian Government people initiatives and has employee relations accountabilities.

The successful candidate will relish an ambitious work program, have a proven track record in the development and delivery of contemporary HR initiatives and operationalising strategy into outcomes. Agility, resilience and the ability to work with ambiguity are important attributes, coupled with experience gained in a large, complex environment.

Superior written and verbal communication skills are necessary along with a demonstrated ability to develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationship skills. Tertiary qualifications in business, HR or organisational change are highly desirable.
