Working closely with AMSA’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer in the newly established role of Manager Strategy and Priorities you will bring your passion for making a real difference to the way organisations operate and influencing outcomes at a whole-of-organisation level.
The successful candidate for this position will draw on their experience managing complex issues to work in this key leadership role, formulating advice on long-term strategic directions and cross-agency projects and programs for the organisation. The role will be responsible for leading a small team, which will shape and drive strategies, programs and plans to support the longer-term direction of AMSA.
ABOUT THE PERSON
This is a role for a person who is motivated by thinking about the bigger picture, shaping the future and driving organisational change. You will be able to translate the conceptual into reality through strategies, plans and projects. To be a strong contender for this key role in AMSA, you will have leadership experience at a senior level. You will possess highly developed strategic thinking skills, including the ability to shape ideas and options from concepts, scan the horizon to identify emerging trends, opportunities and challenges and translate them into practical plans and projects. You will have a good understanding of government, budget, risk management and regulation and familiarity delivering outcomes in a government context. You will thrive in an environment that requires you to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and draws on your experience to harness diverse ideas and views to have real impact on the strategic positioning of the organisation.
