2017 IPAA Queensland Forum – Connected communities: Flourishing places

From the Queensland Public Service Commission:

Bringing together public servants from across Queensland and all levels of government, along with community organisations and leading academics, this one-day forum will explore the potential of place-based approaches to address complex, cross-cutting public policy issues. Participants will engage in compelling case studies, the latest thinking and research, and interactive discussions to examine how to collectively make a difference and enable communities to flourish.

Broadcasting from the principal venue in Logan, the forum will be supplemented at the place level with local forums to maximise regional participation and demonstrate the value of place-based approaches to policy and service delivery.

Confirmed speakers include Matthew Cox, Director, Logan Together; Jim Rogers, Senior Executive Director, NT Office of the Chief Minister; Fahim Khondaker, Principal Adviser, BDO Australia and Director, MDA; Belinda Drew, Community Services Industry Alliance; Dr Tim Reddel, Commonwealth Department of Social Services; and Professors Anne Tiernan and Ross Homel AO, Griffith University.
