Building new leadership

A three-day residential leadership program designed to build capability and performance for officers who are new to the executive level.

The transition to middle management brings with it a range of new challenges and a different way of working and CPM has identified an increasing need to support officers who have recently been promoted to a management role or who are in a long term acting arrangement. Focusing heavily on the capabilities required to perform at this level, the program includes several tools to assist in self-reflection and building leadership through emotional and social intelligence.

Including a 360○ feedback profile aligned to the Integrated Leadership System (ILS), a HBDI profile and a one-hour individual Executive Coaching session in the weeks after attendance, this program will be of significant benefit to those who represent the next generation of managers in the APS, including those who have entered through graduate programs or been appointed directly into executive level management roles.
