Institute for Public Administration Australia, NSW Division presents its 2018 state conference:
Being Human in our Time : Critical Capabilities for the 21st Century Public Servant
It is impossible to ignore the changes taking place in our work environment as well as broader society. But regardless of the innovation afforded by digital technology or AI, the public sector remains in essence a group of individuals working together to serve society and its citizens.
In this 21st century public sector workplace, humanistic skills are the new hard skills.
The one-day IPAA NSW State Conference on Wednesday 16 May 2018 explores why truly human skills like collaboration, communication and leadership are critical for the 21st century public servant.
Our program will help you to identify and develop the skills and capabilities that you will need for a successful and flexible public sector career. The program has been developed in consultation with a range of public sector leaders and is aligned with the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework.
The IPAA NSW State Conference is presented annually as part of our mission to build public sector capability and support the development of a world class public sector. The one-day Conference is attended by more than 400 middle-to-senior level public administrators from around the State.
Please note: All Affiliates who register for the 2018 State Conference will be upgraded to a one year complimentary Professional Membership effective from 1 June 2018.
