Mandarin Talks: What will you be reading over summer?

It’s been a huge year and we’re all ready to ramp up the chill factor.

We are going to help you ease into the end-of-year break with a fun, light-hearted, yet informative final Mandarin Talks for 2021.

Let’s talk about good books – fiction and non-fiction – to read over summer.

To help us do that, Canberra based award-winning crime novelist Chris Hammer, and author and podcaster Suzanne Leal, will join The Mandarin’s Chris Johnson and Melissa Coade to chat about all things books.

Chris Hammer’s Scrublands trilogy topped the bestsellers list, and his new standalone novel Treasure & Dirt has just been released. He is also an author of award-winning non-fiction books and a former leading political journalist.

We will talk about all that, as well as discuss the panel’s picks of great summer reads.

Please join us at 1pm Thursday, December 9 for what will be a fascinating conversation – and a great way to prepare for the holidays.
