The Perth USAsia Centre is pleased to invite you to a public address by Minister Kishi Nobuo, Japanese Minister for Defence.
The geostrategic environment of the Indo-Pacific is rapidly changing. As great power rivalries and territorial disputes have intensified, many regional governments are reappraising their defence and strategic outlooks for the region. To respond to these challenges, Japan is strengthening its security posture, including through its alliance with the United States, the Quad, and other strategic partners.
Minister Kishi will join us via webinar to share his insights into Japan’s defence and strategic outlook in response to contemporary regional challenges.
Kishi Nobuo is the Japanese Minister of Defence. He has previously held a range of foreign affairs and defence portfolios, including the State Minister for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Committee on Security of the House of Representatives. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Economic at Keio University.
