Workshop: Design Thinking for Problem Solving

What is the role that design thinking tools and approaches can play in accelerating outcomes?

In this workshop, Professor Jeanne Liedtka will distil the strategy of design thinking and support participants to develop a learning mindset that can be applied to facilitate strategic planning.

This highly practical workshop will identify the tools and behaviours that can be applied to best support and encourage problem solving and help us to realise our aspirations.

The course will explore:

  • New ways to use design thinking to solve challenges;
  • How to adopt a lean, learning-centered design mindset;
  • Expanding your mental model to discover opportunities that already exist within your organisation;
  • Ways to conserve resources and generate better outcomes using a research-based approach to problem solving;
  • Techniques to refine and iterate initial ideas quickly; and
  • Collaborative methods that break down silos and increase organisational momentum.

This workshop will be invaluable to anyone in the public sector who is interested or involved in innovation, collaboration or in change management.
